Chef/owner Ferdi migrated from the Philippines to Victoria at 10 years old. Classically French trained, with over 27 years experience, he also worked alongside great Asian chefs, such as James Tan (from The Duck at Crown Casino, Melbourne). 

He further developed his passion for Asian cooking travelling with his wife through South East Asia.

Now settled in Cairns with his family, his knowledge and love for all different Asian foods led to the development of Mr Soy Boy.

The vision for Mr Soy Boy is to take the best from a variety of Asian cultures, and using fresh, local ingredients and house made sauces, to provide our customers the delights of unique modern asian cuisine.

All our dishes are prepared to your individual order, catering for customers preferences of chilli and other dietary requests (just ask). Our menu is constantly evolving to fit current food trends and to explore new tastes. So sit back and relax, smell the aromas and ready your taste buds!
